Yesterday we lost power for a little while (a tree fell on a line outside our neighborhood), then I had a chiropractor and acupuncture appointment. Apparently, having a baby does horrible things to your back! But despite all the general feeling of yuck yesterday, I did finally get together with the quilting grannies that I used to sew with. It was fun to mostly listen to their chit chat and catch up on my project.
One of the ladies is putting together this darling little quilt. It’s going to made up of three flowers (they are small!):
She fussy cut some of them so it would be even more darling. I think she has one that has bees in the center!I also got to flip through this book, which had me drooling over some of the projects:I was especially inspired by this piece, which really makes me want to tackle Grandmother’s Flower Garden again:This morning though, I finished piecing my Swoon quilt, and did some rearranging. I started some of the sashing and have pieced two of them together:
Although I love it, I accidentally cut the wrong pieces of fabric. The bold colors are supposed to make up the center, with the lighter colors consisting of the petals. Oh well.
Done is better than perfect! 🙂
