Remember my Swoon quilt? Well I had finished piecing it all together and had the quilt top pretty much finished except for the borders. I showed it to Brian when he wrinkled his brow and asked suspiciously, “What are you going to do with it?”
I didn’t really have a good answer other than, “I don’t know, maybe we can just use it.”
He pointed out we have about seven or eight quilts that are all around the house and basically told me I needed to do something useful with it. Like, put it on our bed! This would have been a good idea if 1. I didn’t already have a quilt in mind for our bed, and 2. I was burned out from making this quilt. I have been making this quilt since January!
Well, I am sure judging by the blog post title you will realize who won in the end.
I grumbled and grumbled and even trudged myself to the fabric store to buy more white, but this week, I have the quilt top finished!
(Side note: Please ignore the mis-matched furniture. I have more on that soon!)
I still have to add a border to the top and bottom. I added extra inches on the sides to cover the bed appropriately.
I am so close to being finished! Except, I still have to do the back, buy batting, and finish quilting the largest quilt I have made yet.
At this rate I won’t be finished until October. But I am going to do my best to get it all done this month.
Because I have other quilts that are just begging to be made. 🙂
