Last month my nephew once again said that he was “bored.” I racked my brain trying to think of something for him to do other than dust or scrub some toilets. Right now he talks a lot about superheroes (thanks to The Avengers, Thor, and the like), and I remembered that when I was a little girl, I loved to read and draw comics. (This tends to happen with a having a brother so close in age – you end up being a bit of a tomboy!)
I grabbed whatever paper I had handy and asked him to draw/write me a story with a few questions for inspiration.
Then I drew different boxes for him to fill in as he went along.
It ended up being a fun time filler activity. Next time I will be better prepared with white paper or cardstock and either colored pencils or crayons to stretch out the time a bit more.
