I am still in awe of the fact that I spent time to document 52 weeks of our family story in 2012. I did everything digitally, because I knew that was the only way I would be able to keep it up. Each week, I put together a two page Project Life spread, and by the end of the year, I had this:
I uploaded and ordered an album through Shutterfly and it came over the weekend. I am really happy with how it turned out. I think the only thing I wish differently was that Shutterfly offered printing on the spine. Maybe next year I will try a different printer to see how it goes.It was really cool to see my family’s reactions and their delight over the pages. You’ll have to excuse Brian’s slightly dazed face because he spent the weekend battling the flu.
It’s been so cool to see our family history captured in the span of a year.
Of course I am doing it all over again this year digitally as well. This year I decided to go with the Seafoam kit.
I have our title page down and I have finished two weeks so far. How are we already two weeks into 2013? Where the heck is the time going!
I have been working on journaling a bit more this time around and including more meaningful stories into the album. I’ve come to really see that while photos are great, it’s the stories behind them that make them even more special.
