I have been on a mad-organizing/cleaning spree. Thankfully my husband is putting up with my nesting ways so now my first-born has a lovely closet. We ordered a closet system from Target. Well, we actually ordered two, one for Bunny and one for Nagini. Bunny’s is the one I am showing today.
Our 21-month old has been picking out her own clothes for months (some of the combinations make for hilarious pictures), so our primary goal was to set up a closet system that would grow with her and let her choose the clothes she wants to wear with ease.We decided to set up a toddler height bar to let Bunny and us help get her dressed. The top rack holds clothes that she will wear beginning in the spring and so on. You can see the tags on some of the clothes on the top rack!
There are tons of empty shelving space which is wonderful because I can later store toys or other things in there. The lower shelf on the bottom left holds quilts that I made for her. The clothes on the middle shelf are her night-time and nap-time jammies.
The left side starts with t-shirts to long sleeve shirts. The middle holds pants and crocheted vests that my mom made for her. The middle right holds complete outfits (because sometimes Daddy needs help when he chooses her outfits!). The far right holds her pajamas.
The bottom rack has a hanging pocket shelf. I keep her shorts there and then some of her shoes. On the other side I keep an empty bin on the floor to store out-grown clothes. Nagini will eventually get Bunny’s cast-offs!
Of course no wardrobe would be complete without a jewelry box. This was my jewelry box that my best friend from childhood gave me one Christmas many years ago. I think the box is almost 20 years old! Wow!
Yes, our daughter totally loves her bling so we have been trying to corral everything in one place. She has a ring that my mom had re-sized just for her and of course costume and inexpensive jewelry that we have either bought or given to her.I still have to put in some of her accessories like her purses and other things into the closet, but I love looking in and admiring how nice and organized it is. I still have a few more closets to tackle around here, but at least this one is pretty much done!
