When I was pregnant with Bunny, all food consumed was purely for survival. It was a rough pregnancy. This time around, after getting past my morning sickness and nausea, I find myself craving all sorts of crazy foods.
I really love seafood, sushi, and spicy food. Most recently though:
Eggs. Lots of eggs. I especially love fried eggs with Hellmann’s mayonnaise on whole grain bread. It’s a warm, delicious egg salad style sandwich. I am drooling just typing that out! This is my current favorite and it is so hard to not want to eat it at every single meal. I limit it to breakfast right now.
I also have really enjoyed more fruit and veggies too. I have also become a bit obsessed with putting lemon on all our meats. I squeeze lemon juice in beef, pork, and chicken. It was quite comical because Brian told me last week that while he loves my chicken, he is not a fan of lemony-chicken. The conversation was quite funny, but in the end, I told him he would just have to deal with lemony-chicken until I give birth…or he could cook it himself!
I also love cereal with either almond or coconut milk. If you know me, you would know that I do not ever eat cereal. But I have been going crazy for Trader Joe’s Maple Pecan Cereal. It is so deliciously good.
I have also been a bit more slack about some things this time around. I have had iced coffee with milk or cream! It was heavenly. I limit myself to only one cup though. You know what makes it even more heavenly? Drinking that and eating a warm egg sandwich. Mmmmm….
We joke that Nagini definitely has a better food taste palate than Bunny. We’ll see how her food tastes and mine change once she is born.
