We have been helping my mom with a ton of clean-up and decluttering when I stumbled across this record and immediately brought it home:
I have no idea what got into me because we do not have a record player. We only have two music CD’s in our “collection” at home. One is A Little Mandarin (more on that here) and one is The Sound of Music soundtrack that my mom gave Bunny (oh the humanity of having to listen to Do Re Mi over and over for an 8 hour car trip).
Well I must have lost my mind, because when we dropped off some things at Goodwill, we decided to take a peek to see if there were any goodies inside. Somehow, we came home with 6 more records.
Clearly, the husband also lost his mind because he took said items up to the register to pay for it!
Did I mention that we do not have a record player?
Still, as I was flipping through the albums, I screamed inside a little when I found these little gems. I had been trying to find some kind of music with the more beloved/classic kids songs:
I know nothing about this other than the illustration and the “great with peanut butter sandwich” got me:
This made me feel really nostalgic so of course I picked it up:
And then when Volume 2 was right next to it, I could not help myself:
I have no other reason for this other than I like to torture myself when my child asks for the same song over and over (and over and over) again:
So now we have a little children’s music collection going with no way to listen to the songs. My mom thinks the record player might be in her attic, but after our last search up there with no luck, I think we’re probably going to have to buy a record player.
Because we have both definitely lost our minds! 🙂
