Did you ever have those moments when you ask your husband to do something, or when he volunteers to do something…and then completely forgets about it? This happens to us all the time.
I found myself getting very angry with Brian and it got to the point where I was reminding him again and again to do something. I was so angry with him for forgetting appointments, missing schedules, and the like. I felt like I was constantly under stress to keep remembering it all by being his secretary and then the constant nagging was really upsetting me and frustrating him.
You would think we would have come up with this easy idea much sooner, especially since I am a natural list-maker. But it took us over 13 years to finally come up with a solution.
Enter….a dry erase board. I know, I can’t believe it either:
We have it hanging on the wall near our laundry room and eating area so he cannot miss it.
We picked this one up at Target for less than $8 and Brian writes down stuff that needs to get done by a certain day, and I write down stuff I would like him to do by a certain day.
The best part is that the stuff is actually getting done.
I still don’t know why it took us so long to think of this!
