Remember how last year I found some amazing handwork pieces from Brian’s grandparents’ basement? Well, it’s been a while since I have talked about it!
I have been working on the smaller stamped cross stitch piece off and on the last few months. I usually take this with me when I meet up with the older ladies I quilt with.
This is how it is looking today:
At first I thought maybe I was going a little crazy with the colors, but seeing the piece in this photo makes me feel all happy:
I’m going with a blue border with yellow flowers. The purple will be hydrangea bushes (well, at least that’s how I’m interpreting them!), and the light brown will make up the rest of the house.
I haven’t really set a deadline to finish this, though I would definitely like to finish it this year. I actually would like to finish all three pieces from Brian’s family this year, so I better get moving on this! Along with my 50 million other projects on hand! 🙂
