As this is my third(!) year into digital Project Life, I’m continuing to keep up with it. This year it’s been pretty straightforward to maintain the same as my stuff from last year. I focus on getting the photos down and choosing what stories I want to tell.
I have tried a few methods of saving the stories I want to use during the week since I usually work on my Project Life the following Monday or Tuesday while the kids are sleeping (naptime or bedtime, depending). I’ve done a little bit with Evernote, a little bit on several different apps on my phone, and emailing myself.
Right now the best method for me personally is just to alternate between emailing myself or writing down a quick note on my regular daily planner.
Here’s my first five weeks for 2014:
I added more of a “gutter” around the edges because when I go to get it printed at the beginning of next year, it will save me time to already have that done. I added a couple hours of frustration at the beginning of the year when I was trying to get 2013 printed and not including enough room for bleed. This time when I finish each page I’ve already factored that in.
I have a few other Project Life type of albums in the works. I hope to share more soon because I have to say that as a photo and story lover projects like these make my heart so happy. (Oh and the people who show up in my albums make me happy too!) 😉
