Last weekend we took our kids to a local church for their Easter celebrations.
They had bounce houses, face painting, balloons, food, egg hunt, petting zoo, pony rides, and on and on. It was free to the community and we picked this one among many, many others because I knew we would be able to finish just in time for their naps!
Our girls had so much fun. Bunny rode a miniature horse for the first time. She had a perfectly determined expression on her face the whole ride, and didn’t crack a smile once!
Nagini and I tried out the petting zoo. There were goats, rabbits, turtles, chicks, ducks, piglets, and chickens
Bunny joined us and she went up and petted this huge turtle. Turns out, she thought it was fake because it wasn’t moving (hiding in its shell)!
The kids loved eating their bags of popcorn. You know, never mind that we have popcorn at home! It just tastes better when you have balloons.
The church had several egg hunts for the kids, broken up by age. Nagini went first and she was a pro. Yep, that’s a triple grab right there!
Bunny did great. When kids her age lined up, she took off and started grabbing eggs before it started! I had her put everything back and line up properly!
All in all the kids loved the egg hunt so much I think it’ll be a fun backyard activity to do at home, or set it up like a race to see how many eggs they can find.
Hope you and yours have a happy Easter this weekend. I’m looking forward to Brian’s four day weekend and working on projects around the house.
