Last week while I was working on the computer, Bunny asked if she could paint with watercolors for her quiet time. But once I had everything set up for her, I kept getting interrupted when she wanted me to change the water dish. She didn’t like the water getting muddy and messing up her color palette.
After three rounds of going back and forth, and briefly contemplating letting her do it herself (until I realized she would be walking across carpet), I had a flash of brilliance. I grabbed an old ice cube tray that was in their play kitchen and filled it with water.
Boom! She had 16 little sections of water for her to clean her brush and make a cute rainbow along the way.
She loved it and her paint colors stayed bright:
A simple solution that gave me the chance to catch up on a little bit of blog work!
