For the last couple of months, our girls have been in princess-fever mode. I thought I could stem the tide in our home but Cinderella, Elsa, and Anna have taken over.
Our girls were obsessed with all things Frozen before they even saw the movie. I finally caved and let them watch it and it seemed to add to their love.
A couple of months ago we attended a little girl’s birthday party and Cinderella was there.
So, now we have Frozen themed vitamins, clothes, and toys. Cinderella has also come in with toys as well.
I totally blame my family because while Brian and I managed to at least keep most princess toys out of the home, well, we can’t do anything about the gifts!
I’ve tried to shift my perspective a bit and emphasize things like princesses are good and kind. We don’t want to behave like bad sisters (Anastasia and Drizella). We want to help each other (like Anna going after Elsa).
I have no idea if it’s working.
I caught Nagini kissing a little figure of Hans and telling her that he’s a bad boy. To which she responded, “I like bad boys!”
Oh dear. 🙂
