When I worked as a professional wedding photographer, one of my favorite things to photograph were the gorgeous florals. From the bouquets to the table centerpieces, there were so many beautiful varieties and styles reflective of the bride and groom and their special day. Sometimes, after working with a vendor, I would be able to bring home some beautiful arrangements and be in awe of how well and meticulously each flower was put together.
In The Flower Workshop: Lessons in Arranging Blooms, Branches, Fruits, and Foraged Materials, I feel like I found my how-to guide on replicating those amazing arrangements at home. The book is filled with instructions to creating bouquets, wreaths, and other floral arrangements.
The instructions are well-written with the arrangement on the following page. I appreciated the highlights of the seasonal flowers as well. Although the instructions are written step-by-step, for a visual learner like me, it would have been nice to have more step-by-step photographs showing how the arrangement was pieced together.
This is a beautiful book and I think this book would make the perfect gift to the DIY-floral enthusiast.
