One of the things I’ve really scaled back from is taking photos on the DSLR, or big camera. I know that I sacrifice photo quality when I have the images printed, but if I’m being honest with myself, it doesn’t really matter for the everyday photos that make it into our family scrapbooks.
I used to be pretty dedicated about taking out the big camera to get the images, but this past year I’ve really increased using my phone’s camera (I’m using an iPhone 5s). I still don’t have the perfect system down for saving and storing other than my previous traditional methods, but I like not having to juggle two devices back and forth. (Or sometimes three if you count my husband’s phone.)
I still bring out the big camera for some special occasions, like Christmas photos for cards, or even when it’s my kids birthday portraits, but for the most part I’m happy to leave it tucked away.
How about you? Have you given up using a DSLR?
