While our family fortunately does not suffer from food allergies, I try to be conscientious of ingredients that we put into our bodies. When I read Pure Delicious: More Than 150 Delectable Allergen-Free Recipes Without Gluten, Dairy, Eggs, Soy, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Shellfish, or Cane Sugar, I was happy to find a cookbook that is healthy and appealing.
More than 50 pages are focused on Heather’s journey to transforming their diet to a step-by-step on how you can make the transition as well through a food elimination diet. I found it interesting to read and I think I might try cutting back on some of the foods we eat on a near-daily basis.
The rest of the book has over 150 recipes. Most of them sound amazing and delicious. Some of them are very simple, and not too different than my own recipes, but there are some where I am not sure if I want to hunt down all the ingredients to make, like xanthan gum or granulated beet sugar.
This would make a great cookbook to have in your collection if you’re interested in cooking more healthfully, or if you and/or a loved one has allergies.
