As an avid scrapbooker, I’m always looking for more ways to help tell my family story. Almost everything I make comes from my point of view, so it was cool to come across Me: A Compendium: A Fill-in Journal for Kids.
This book is a hardcover journal, filled with illustrations and prompts for children to complete. It’s full of color and just enough white space in all the right places for your child to write and/or doodle their answers.
Some of the questions are pretty standard. Some examples include This is the best part about school and This is my favorite dinner. Others are more quirky like, This is what my socks look like. and If I were an underwater creature, this is what I would be.
My children are still a little young to complete this book, and I think it’d be geared for the 6-8 year olds. This journal was pretty delightful to look through and I can’t wait until my kids are old enough where I can capture some of our life documented through their perspective.
