You can read Part 1 here of our bathroom remodel.
Here’s what the layout is going to look like:
Last week, the construction crew came in to demo the bathroom. It was so crazy just how much more space we gained by removing all the doors and walls that were dividing the spaces.
Here’s the view looking in from the bedroom entrance:
Notice the tile on the floor and how the room was divided by walls and 5(!) doors. The door pictured there is from the hallway. The space where the sink was will be where the linen closet will be:
This is where they removed the other vanity from the bedroom entrance.
The new doorway to the closet is framed out and the left side is where the new closet will go. The right side is where the vanity will be:
I was impressed by how quickly the demo went. They pretty much got everything done and out on the first day.
Since then, it has slowed down a little bit because we had an electrician in here, and they had one of the guys jackhammer the cement floor to make way for the new plumbing.
I had to turn on the air conditioner a couple times and it has kicked up so much dust everywhere that it’s been easier to just leave it off for most of the time. Thankfully we have had a cool spell for the weather.
