I had a lot of fun looking at the beautifully photographed Harvest: Unexpected Projects Using 47 Extraordinary Garden Plants. This book brings out the aspirational gardener in me where I lovely things and products for the house and home.
The book features 47 different plants with a brief introduction on the care and harvest with the following page a “recipe” using each plant. There are edibles, flower arrangements, and handmade gifts using the plants. It’s one of the most beautiful books I’ve looked through recently. However, I found the chapters hard to follow, as it’s divided by season rather than alphabetical listing of the plants.
While I enjoyed reading it, I don’t think the average gardener would be growing most of the plants in here. That being said, it’s inspirational and it makes me want to search through Pinterest to find more DIY-recipes and ideas for a particular plant and finding inspiration within my own paltry garden.
